Sufyan told us, from Salim Abu al-Nadr, freedman of Umar ibn Ubaydullah ibn Ma'mar, from Busr ibn Sa'id, who said: Abu Juhaym, nephew of Ubayy ibn Ka'b, sent me to Zayd ibn Khalid to ask him what he had heard about one who passes in front of a person praying. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "For one who stands (waiting) forty" — I do not know whether he meant a day, a month, or a year — "would be better for him than to pass in front of him."
