حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى وَمُحَمَّدٌ ابْنَا عُبَيْدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ لَوْلَا أَنْ يُشَقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَخَّرْتُ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ وَلَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ya'la and Muhammad, the two sons of Ubayd, told us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq told us, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said — and Muhammad said: "Were it not that it would be difficult for my nation" — "Were it not that it would be difficult (for people), I would have delayed the night prayer until a third of the night, and I would have commanded them to use the tooth-stick (siwak) before every prayer."
