حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اصْطَفَى مِنْ وَلَدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَاصْطَفَى مِنْ بَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ كِنَانَةَ وَاصْطَفَى مِنْ بَنِي كِنَانَةَ قُرَيْشًا وَاصْطَفَى مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَاصْطَفَانِي مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Mus'ab told us, saying: al-Awza'i told us, from Shaddad Abu Ammar, from Wathilah ibn al-Asqa', that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, chose Isma'il from among the children of Abraham, and chose Kinanah from among the sons of Isma'il, and chose Quraysh from among the sons of Kinanah, and chose the Banu Hashim from among Quraysh, and chose me from among the Banu Hashim."
