حَدَّثَنَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ ذَكَرَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْأَعْوَادِ اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ مَنْ يُرِدْ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْخَيْرَ يُفَقِّهُّ فِي الدِّينِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Shuja' ibn al-Walid narrated to us, saying: 'Uthman ibn Hakim mentioned, from Ziyad ibn Abi Ziyad, from Mu'awiya, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say upon these very planks: 'O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the fortune of the fortunate does not benefit him against You. Whoever Allah wishes good for, He grants him understanding of the religion.'
