He said: Abd al-Razzaq told us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, who said: Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Azhar used to narrate that Khalid ibn al-Walid ibn al-Mughirah was wounded that day, and he was in command of the cavalry, the cavalry of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Ibn al-Azhar said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, after Allah had defeated the disbelievers and the Muslims had returned to their camps, walking among the Muslims saying: Who will guide me to the camp of Khalid ibn al-Walid? He said: So I walked, or he said: I hurried, before him while I was of age to fight, saying: Who will guide to the camp of Khalid, until we came upon his camp, and there was Khalid ibn al-Walid, leaning against the back part of his saddle. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to him and looked at his wound. Al-Zuhri said: And I think he said: And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, spat lightly upon it. This is the end of the Musnad of the people of Mecca and Medina, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, may Allah, exalted is He, be pleased with them.
