انگریزی ترجمہ
He said: Zayd ibn al-Hubab told us, he said: Husayn ibn Waqid told me, he said: Thabit al-Bunani told me, from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal al-Muzani, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at al-Hudaybiyah, at the base of the tree which Allah, exalted is He, mentioned in the Qur'an, and branches of that tree were falling upon the back of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while Ali ibn Abi Talib and Suhayl ibn Amr were before him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Ali, may Allah be pleased with him: Write, In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Suhayl ibn Amr took hold of his hand and said: We do not recognize In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Write in our agreement what we recognize. He said: Write, In Your name, O Allah. So he wrote: This is what Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, has agreed with the people of Mecca. Suhayl ibn Amr took hold of his hand and said: We have indeed wronged you if you were His messenger. Write in our agreement what we recognize. So he said: Write, This is what Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abd al-Muttalib has agreed, and I am the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. So he wrote it. While we were thus, thirty young men came out against us bearing arms, and they rushed at our faces, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, invoked against them, and Allah, Mighty and Sublime, took away their sight. We came upon them and seized them. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Have you come under anyone's covenant, or has anyone granted you safe conduct? They said: No. So he let them go, and Allah, Mighty and Sublime, sent down: And He it is who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Mecca after He had given you victory over them, and Allah is Seeing of what you do. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated this hadith from Thabit, from Anas, while Husayn ibn Waqid narrated it from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, and this, in my view, is correct, if Allah wills.
