He said: Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar told us, from al-Zuhri, from Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, that his father informed him that while he was traveling with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with people, on his return from Hunayn, the bedouins pressed upon him, asking him for things, and forced him against a thorn tree, which snatched away his cloak while he was on his mount. He stopped and said: Give me back my cloak. Do you fear that I would be miserly toward you? If I had as many head of livestock as these thorn trees, I would distribute them among you; then you would not find me miserly, nor a coward, nor a liar, peace and blessings be upon him. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Ma'mar erred in the lineage of Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Amr; he is Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im.
