حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الصَّعْبَ بْنَ جَثَّامَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ يَقُولُ أَهْدَيْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ بِالْأَبْوَاءِ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيَّ فَلَمَّا عَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَجْهِي كَرَاهِيَةَ رَدِّهِ قَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِنَا رَدٌّ عَلَيْكَ وَلَكِنَّا حُرُمٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abdullah narrated to us: Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim informed us, he said: The nephew of Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from his paternal uncle, who said: 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Utbah ibn Mas'ud informed me, that 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas used to say: I heard al-Sa'b ibn Jaththamah ibn Qays al-Laythi say: I gave the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, a gift of a wild donkey at al-Abwa', and he returned it to me. When the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, recognized on my face my dislike of its return, he said: "It is not out of aversion toward you, but we are in ihram."
