قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَامَ فِي سَفَرٍ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ بِالْإِفْطَارِ وَقَالَ إِنَّكُمْ تَلْقَوْنَ عَدُوًّا لَكُمْ فَتَقَوَّوْا فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَامُوا لِصِيَامِكَ فَلَمَّا أَتَى الْكَدِيدَ أَفْطَرَ قَالَ الَّذِي حَدَّثَنِي فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُبُّ الْمَاءَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ مِنْ الْحَرِّ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
He said: Uthman ibn Umar told us, he said: Malik ibn Anas informed us, from Sumayy, from Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, fasted during a journey in the year of the Conquest, then commanded his Companions to break their fast, saying, "You are going to meet an enemy of yours, so gain strength." It was said, "O Messenger of God, the people have fasted because you fasted." So when he reached al-Kadid he broke his fast. The one who narrated to me said: I indeed saw the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, pouring water over his head due to the heat while he was fasting.
