He said: Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, from Humayd al-A'raj, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Taymi, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Mu'adh, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, addressed the people at Mina and assigned them their places, saying: Let the Muhajirun camp here -- pointing to the right side of the qiblah -- and the Ansar here -- pointing to the left side of the qiblah -- then let the people camp around them. He said: And he taught them their rites, and the ears of the people of Mina were opened so that they heard him in their dwellings. He said: I heard him say: Throw the pebbles at the jamrah like the size of pebbles used for flicking. Abdullah said: I heard Mus'ab al-Zubayri say: Abu Talhah al-Qass came to Malik ibn Anas and said: O Abu Abdullah, some people have forbidden me to relate this hadith: Peace be upon Ibrahim -- indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious -- and upon Muhammad and upon the people of his household and upon his wives. Malik said: Relate it, and preach it, and say it.
