قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ثُمَّ الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ وَكَانَ أَحَدَ رَهْطِهِ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ شَهِدَ مَعَهُ أُحُدًا قَالَ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ اسْتَسْقَى لَنَا أَطَالَ الدُّعَاءَ وَأَكْثَرَ الْمَسْأَلَةَ قَالَ ثُمَّ تَحَوَّلَ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ فَقَلَبَهُ ظَهْرًا لِبَطْنٍ وَتَحَوَّلَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ.

He said: Ya'qub narrated to us, who said: my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: 'Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr narrated to me, from 'Abbad ibn Tamim al-Ansari, then al-Mazini, from 'Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn 'Asim, who was one of his kinsmen - 'Abdullah ibn Zayd was one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who had witnessed Uhud with him - he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he prayed for rain for us, prolong the supplication and increase the entreaty. Then he turned toward the qiblah and reversed his cloak, turning it inside out, and the people turned with him.
