حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ أَبُو هَاشِمٍ الْمَكِّيُّ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبِرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَافِدِ بَنِي الْمُنْتَفِقِ قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَصَاحِبٌ لِي حَتَّى انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ نَجِدْهُ فَأَطْعَمَتْنَا عَائِشَةُ تَمْرًا وَعَصَدَتْ لَنَا عَصِيدَةً إِذْ جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَقَلَّعُ فَقَالَ هَلْ أُطْعِمْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَبَيْنَا نَحْنُ كَذَلِكَ دَفَعَ رَاعِي الْغَنَمِ فِي الْمُرَاحِ عَلَى يَدِهِ سَخْلَةٌ قَالَ هَلْ وَلَدَتْ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَاذْبَحْ لَنَا شَاةً ثُمَّ أَقْبِلْ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَا يَحْسَبَنَّ إِنَّا ذَبَحْنَا الشَّاةَ مِنْ أَجْلِكُمَا لَنَا غَنَمٌ مِائَةٌ لَا نُرِيدُ أَنْ تَزِيدَ عَلَيْهَا فَإِذَا وَلَّدَ الرَّاعِي بَهْمَةً أَمَرْنَاهُ بِذَبْحِ شَاةٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ الْوُضُوءِ قَالَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَأَسْبِغْ وَخَلِّلْ الْأَصَابِعَ وَإِذَا اسْتَنْثَرْتَ فَأَبْلِغْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ صَائِمًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي امْرَأَةً فَذَكَرَ مِنْ طُولِ لِسَانِهَا وَإِيذَائِهَا فَقَالَ طَلِّقْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا ذَاتُ صُحْبَةٍ وَوَلَدٍ قَالَ فَأَمْسِكْهَا وَأْمُرْهَا فَإِنْ يَكُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ فَسَتَفْعَلْ وَلَا تَضْرِبْ ظَعِينَتَكَ ضَرْبَكَ أَمَتَكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ibn Jurayj informed us: Isma'il ibn Kathir, Abu Hashim al-Makki, told us, from Asim ibn Laqit ibn Sabira, from his father, the delegate of Banu al-Muntafiq, who said: I set out, I and a companion of mine, until we reached the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, but we did not find him. Aisha fed us dates and made porridge for us. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came, walking with a limp, and said: "Have you been fed anything?" We said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." While we were like that, the shepherd brought in, in the fold, on his hand, a newborn lamb. He said: "Has she given birth?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Then slaughter a sheep for us." Then he turned to us and said: "Do not think" - and he did not say "let him not think" - "that we slaughtered the sheep for your sake; we have a hundred sheep, and we do not want them to increase beyond that. So whenever the shepherd's flock gives birth to a lamb, we order him to slaughter a sheep." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, tell me about ablution." He said: "When you perform ablution, do it thoroughly, run your fingers through your fingers, and when you blow water out of your nose, do so thoroughly, unless you are fasting." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have a wife" - and he mentioned the length of her tongue and her harming him. He said: "Divorce her." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, she has been my companion and has children." He said: "Then keep her and command her; if there is good in her, she will do it. And do not beat your wife as you beat your slave-girl."
