Yazid ibn Harun told us: Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from 'Ali ibn Zayd, from al-Hasan, from 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: A caller calls out every night: Is there anyone who calls upon Me that I may answer him? Is there anyone who asks of Me that I may give him? Is there anyone who seeks forgiveness that I may forgive him? — until the dawn breaks.
