قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اجْعَلْنِي إِمَامَ قَوْمِي فَقَالَ أَنْتَ إِمَامُهُمْ وَاقْتَدِ بِأَضْعَفِهِمْ وَاتَّخِذْ مُؤَذِّنًا لَا يَأْخُذُ عَلَى أَذَانِهِ أَجْرًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
He said: 'Abd al-Samad told us: Hammad told us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu al-'Ala', from 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As, who said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, appoint me as the leader in prayer of my people. He said: You are their leader; follow the pace of the weakest among them, and appoint a caller to prayer who does not take payment for his call.
