قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ قَالَ كُنَّا نُسَمَّى عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّمَاسِرَةَ فَمَرَّ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَمَّانَا بِاسْمٍ هُوَ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ إِنَّ هَذَا الْبَيْعَ يَحْضُرُهُ اللَّغْوُ وَالْحَلِفُ فَشُوبُوهُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَوْلَى صُخَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَنْهَى عَنْ بَيْعٍ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا مَعَايِشُنَا قَالَ فَقَالَ لَا خِلَابَ إِذًا وَكُنَّا نُسَمَّى السَّمَاسِرَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
He said: Abu Mu'awiyah told us, Al-A'mash told us, from Shaqiq, from Qays ibn Abi Gharazah, who said: We used to be called, in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, the samasirah. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by us and named us with a name better than it, and said: "O company of merchants, indeed this trading is attended by idle talk and swearing, so mix it with charity." He said: Yazid ibn Harun told us, he said: Al-'Awwam ibn Hawshab informed us, he said: Ibrahim, the freed slave of Sukhayr, told me, from one of the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wanted to forbid a certain kind of trading, so they said: "O Messenger of Allah, this is our livelihood." He said: "Then let there be no deception." And we used to be called the samasirah - and he mentioned the hadith.
