حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ مُجَاشِعٍ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ بِأَخِي مَعْبَدٍ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ جِئْتُكَ بِأَخِي لِتُبَايِعَهُ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ فَقَالَ ذَهَبَ أَهْلُ الْهِجْرَةِ بِمَا فِيهَا فَقُلْتُ عَلَى أَيِّ شَيْءٍ تُبَايِعُهُ قَالَ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَالْإِيمَانِ وَالْجِهَادِ قَالَ فَلَقِيتُ مَعْبَدًا بَعْدُ وَكَانَ هُوَ أَكْبَرُهُمَا فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ صَدَقَ مُجَاشِعٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik ibn Waqid narrated to us: Zuhayr narrated to us: Asim al-Ahwal narrated to us from Abu Uthman al-Nahdi, from Mujashi', who said: I came with my brother Ma'bad to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, after the Conquest, and I said: O Messenger of God, I have brought you my brother so that you may take his pledge for emigration. He said: The people of emigration have taken what was in it. I said: Then on what will you take his pledge? He said: On Islam, faith, and jihad. He said: I later met Ma'bad - who was the elder of the two - and asked him, and he said: Mujashi' has spoken the truth.
