حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا السَّائِبُ بْنُ حُبَيْشٍ الكَلَاعِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الشَّمَّاخِ الْأَزْدِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَمٍّ لَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَى مُعَاوِيَةَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ وَلِيَ أَمْرًا مِنْ أَمْرِ النَّاسِ ثُمَّ أَغْلَقَ بَابَهُ دُونَ الْمِسْكِينِ وَالْمَظْلُومِ أَوْ ذِي الْحَاجَةِ أَغْلَقَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى دُونَهُ أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِهِ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِهِ وَفَقْرِهِ أَفْقَرُ مَا يَكُونُ إِلَيْهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
A cousin of his from the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to Mu'awiyah and said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: Whoever is entrusted with an affair of the people and then closes his door against the needy, the oppressed, or those in need, Allah the Blessed and Exalted will close the doors of His mercy before him when he is most in need of it.'
