حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ وَسَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ يَقُولَانِ سَمِعْنَا حَكِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَعْطَانِي ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ فَأَعْطَانِي ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ فَأَعْطَانِي ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا الْمَالَ خَضِرَةٌ حُلْوَةٌ فَمَنْ أَخَذَهُ بِحَقِّهِ بُورِكَ لَهُ فِيهِ وَمَنْ أَخَذَهُ بِإِشْرَافِ نَفْسٍ لَمْ يُبَارَكْ لَهُ فِيهِ وَكَانَ كَالَّذِي يَأْكُلُ وَلَا يَشْبَعُ وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hakim ibn Hizam said: 'I asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he gave me. Then I asked him and he gave me. Then I asked him and he gave me. Then he said: This wealth is green and sweet. Whoever takes it rightfully, he will be blessed in it. Whoever takes it with greed, he will not be blessed in it, and he will be like one who eats and is never satisfied. The upper hand is better than the lower hand.'
