حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَالضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ عَرَضَ عَلَيَّ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَبِي صَفْوَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ الضَّحَّاكُ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ كَلَدَةَ بْنَ الْحَنْبَلِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ بَعَثَهُ فِي الْفَتْحِ بِلِبَإٍ وَجَدَايَةٍ وَضَغَابِيسَ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَعْلَى الْوَادِي قَالَ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَمْ أُسَلِّمْ وَلَمْ أَسْتَأْذِنْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ارْجِعْ فَقُلْ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَدْخُلُ بَعْدَ مَا أَسْلَمَ صَفْوَانُ قَالَ عَمْرٌو أَخْبَرَنِي هَذَا الْخَبَرَ أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ كَلَدَةَ قَالَ الضَّحَّاكُ وَابْنُ الْحَارِثِ وَذَلِكَ بَعْدَمَا أَسْلَمَ وَقَالَ الضَّحَّاكُ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بِلَبَنٍ وَجَدَايَةٍ.

Rawh told us: Ibn Jurayj told us; and al-Dahhak ibn Makhlad said: Ibn Jurayj informed me; and Abdullah ibn al-Harith said: Ibn Jurayj presented to me: Amr ibn Abi Sufyan informed me that Amr ibn Abi Safwan informed him - al-Dahhak and Abdullah ibn al-Harith said: that Amr ibn Abdullah ibn Safwan informed him - that Kaladah ibn al-Hanbal informed him that Safwan ibn Umayyah sent him during the Conquest with fresh milk, a young goat, and cucumbers, while the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was at the top of the valley. He said: I entered upon him without greeting with salam and without asking permission, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Go back and say: 'Peace be upon you, may I come in?'" - this was after Safwan had become Muslim. Amr said: Umayyah ibn Safwan informed me of this report, and he did not say he heard it from Kaladah. Al-Dahhak and Ibn al-Harith said: and that was after he had become Muslim. Al-Dahhak and Abdullah ibn al-Harith said: "with milk and a young goat."
