حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ وَعَتَّابٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الْمَدِينِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ اسْتُشْهِدَ أَبِي بِأُحُدٍ فَأَرْسَلْنَنِي أَخَوَاتِي إِلَيْهِ بِنَاضِحٍ لَهُنَّ فَقُلْنَ اذْهَبْ فَاحْتَمِلْ أَبَاكَ عَلَى هَذَا الْجَمَلِ فَادْفِنْهُ فِي مَقْبَرَةِ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ قَالَ فَجِئْتُهُ وَأَعْوَانٌ لِي فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ بِأُحُدٍ فَدَعَانِي وَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يُدْفَنُ إِلَّا مَعَ إِخْوَتِهِ فَدُفِنَ مَعَ أَصْحَابِهِ بِأُحُدٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ali ibn Ishaq told us, and Abd al-Wahhab and Attab told us, Abdullah informed us, Umar ibn Salamah ibn Abi Yazid al-Madini informed us, my father told me, who said: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say: "My father was martyred at Uhud, and my sisters sent me to him with a watering camel of theirs, and they said: 'Go and carry your father on this camel and bury him in the graveyard of Banu Salamah.'" He said: So I came to him with helpers of mine, and that reached the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was sitting at Uhud, and he called me and said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, he shall not be buried except with his brothers." So he was buried with his companions at Uhud.
