حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي أَنَا أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ كُنْتُ فِيمَنْ رَجَمَ الرَّجُلَ يَعْنِي مَاعِزًا إِنَّا لَمَّا رَجَمْنَاهُ وَجَدَ مَسَّ الْحِجَارَةِ فَقَالَ أَيْ قَوْمِ رُدُّونِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِنَّ قَوْمِي هُمْ قَتَلُونِي وَغَرُّونِي مِنْ نَفْسِي وَقَالُوا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَيْرُ قَاتِلِكَ قَالُوا فَلَمْ نَنْزَعْ عَنْ الرَّجُلِ حَتَّى فَرَغْنَا مِنْهُ قَالَ فَلَمَّا رَجَعْنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرْنَا لَهُ قَوْلَهُ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَرَكْتُمْ الرَّجُلَ وَجِئْتُمُونِي بِهِ إِنَّمَا أَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَتَثَبَّتَ فِي أَمْرِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yazid ibn Harun told us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq told us, from Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatada, who said: al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Ali said: I said to Jabir ibn Abdullah, and Jabir ibn Abdullah said: O son of my brother, I am the most knowledgeable of people about this hadith. I was among those who stoned the man - meaning Ma'iz. When we stoned him, he felt the pain of the stones and said: O my people, take me back to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), for my people have killed me and deceived me about myself, saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would not kill me. They said: We did not stop stoning the man until we finished him off. He said: When we returned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and mentioned to him what he had said, he said: Why did you not leave the man and bring him to me? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) only wanted to be certain in his matter.
