Yazid told us, Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, that Shurahbil ibn Sa'd informed him, from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, who said: We came with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, from al-Hudaybiya until we camped at al-Suqya. Mu'adh ibn Jabal said, "Who will fetch water for us in our waterskins?" So I went out with a group of the Ansar until we came to the water at al-Uthaya, the distance between the two places being about twenty-three miles. We filled our waterskins, and when it was after the night prayer time, there was a man whose camel was struggling with him toward the trough. He said, "Bring it to water," and behold, it was the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. So he brought it to water, then I took hold of his she-camel's rein and made her kneel. He got up and prayed the night prayer, with Jabir, as he mentioned, at his side. Then after it he prayed thirteen prostrations.
