Abu Nu'aym told us, Zakariyya told us, Amir told us, Jabir ibn Abdullah told me, that his father died leaving a debt. I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said to him: My father has died and left a debt, and I have nothing except what his palm trees produce, and what they produce does not amount to a sixth of what is owed. He said: He went with me so that the creditors would not treat me harshly, and he walked around a heap of dates from the piles of dates, then prayed and sat upon it, and said: Where are his creditors? And he paid them in full what was owed them, and what remained was equal to what he had given them.
