حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ و عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَلَنْ يُنْجِيَ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ قُلْنَا وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us, Abd al-Aziz ibn Muslim told us, Sulayman al-A'mash told us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, and from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Be steadfast and moderate, for none of you will be saved by his deeds alone. We said: Not even you, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Not even me, unless Allah envelops me in mercy from Himself.
