حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ وَأَذِنَ فِي لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ.

Affan told us, Hammad ibn Zayd told us, Amr ibn Dinar told us, from Muhammad ibn Ali, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the meat of domestic donkeys on the day of Khaybar, and permitted the meat of horses.
