حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ حَرَّتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ لَا يُقْطَعُ مِنْهَا شَجَرَةٌ إِلَّا أَنْ يَعْلِفَ الرَّجُلُ بَعِيرَهُ.

Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Abu al-Zubayr told us, from Jabir: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, declared sacred what is between the two lava tracts of Medina: no tree of it may be cut, except that a man may feed leaves to his camel.
