حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ صَنَعَتْ لَهُ طَعَامًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَدَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَدَخَلَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُدْخِلُ رَأْسَهُ تَحْتَ الْوَدِيِّ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ جَعَلْتَهُ عَلِيًّا فَدَخَلَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَهَنَّيْنَاهْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Ahmad told us, Sufyan told us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Jabir, he said: We were with the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, at the home of a woman of the Ansar who had prepared food for him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A man from the people of Paradise is about to enter upon you." Then Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, entered, and we congratulated him. Then he said: "A man from the people of Paradise is about to enter upon you." Then Umar, may God be pleased with him, entered, and we congratulated him. Then he said: "A man from the people of Paradise is about to enter upon you." I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, put his head under the palm-fiber roof and say: "O God, if You will, make it Ali." Then Ali, may God be pleased with him, entered, and we congratulated him.
