Abu al-Nadr told us, Sharik informed us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, that a man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "What do you think if I strive with myself and my wealth and am killed steadfast, seeking reward, advancing and not retreating — will I enter Paradise?" He said: "Yes." The man repeated this two or three times. He said: "Unless you die while owing a debt you have no means to pay."
