حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ مُتْعَتَانِ كَانَتَا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَهَانَا عَنْهُمَا عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ فَانْتَهَيْنَا.

Abd al-Samad told us, Hammad told us, from Asim, from Abu Nadrah, from Jabir, he said: "There were two mut'ahs during the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, then Umar, may God be pleased with him, forbade us from them, so we stopped."
