حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ تُوُفِّيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَرَامٍ يَعْنِي أَبَاهُ أَوْ اسْتُشْهِدَ وَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ فَاسْتَعَنْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى غُرَمَائِهِ أَنْ يَضَعُوا مِنْ دَيْنِهِ شَيْئًا فَطَلَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَأَبَوْا فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اذْهَبْ فَصَنِّفْ تَمْرَكَ أَصْنَافًا الْعَجْوَةَ عَلَى حِدَةٍ وَعِذْقَ زَيْدٍ عَلَى حِدَةٍ وَأَصْنَافَهُ ثُمَّ ابْعَثْ إِلَيَّ قَالَ فَفَعَلْتُ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَلَسَ عَلَى أَعْلَاهُ أَوْ فِي وَسَطِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ كِلْ لِلْقَوْمِ قَالَ فَكِلْتُ لِلْقَوْمِ حَتَّى أَوْفَيْتُهُمْ وَبَقِيَ تَمْرِي كَأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَنْقُصْ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Jarir told us, from al-Mughirah, from al-Sha'bi, from Jabir, who said: Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Haram — meaning his father — died, or was martyred, while he had a debt upon him. So I sought the Messenger of Allah's help, peace and blessings be upon him, with his creditors, that they waive some of his debt. He requested it of them, but they refused. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me, "Go and sort your dates into types — the ajwah on its own, the 'idhq zayd on its own, and its other types — then send for me." He said: So I did that, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came and sat on top of it, or in the middle of it, then said, "Measure out for the people." He said: So I measured out for the people until I had paid them in full, and my dates remained as if nothing had been reduced from them.
