Muhammad ibn Abi Adi told us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq: Muhammad ibn Ibrahim told me, from Mahmud ibn Labid, from Jabir, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever loses three children and bears it with patient expectation of reward will enter Paradise." He said: We said, "O Messenger of Allah, and two?" He said, "And two." Mahmud said: I said to Jabir: "I think if you had said 'and one,' he would have said 'and one.'" He said: "By Allah, I think so too."
