حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، وَعَفَّانُ، قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِيَادٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ، قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ أَبِي نَحْوَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُهُ قَالَ لِي أَبِي هَلْ تَدْرِي مَنْ هَذَا قُلْتُ لَا فَقَالَ لِي أَبِي هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاقْشَعْرَرْتُ حِينَ قَالَ ذَاكَ وَكُنْتُ أَظُنُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا لَا يُشْبِهُ النَّاسَ فَإِذَا بَشَرٌ لَهُ وَفْرَةٌ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ذُو وَفْرَةٍ وَبِهَا رَدْعٌ مِنْ حِنَّاءٍ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ أَبِي ثُمَّ جَلَسْنَا فَتَحَدَّثْنَا سَاعَةً ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَبِي ابْنُكَ هَذَا قَالَ إِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَ حَقًّا قَالَ أَشْهَدُ بِهِ فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِنْ ثَبْتِ شَبَهِي بِأَبِي وَمِنْ حَلِفِ أَبِي عَلَيَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ قَالَ وَقَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ {وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى} قَالَ ثُمَّ نَظَرَ إِلَى مِثْلِ السِّلْعَةِ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَطَبُّ الرِّجَالِ أَلَا أُعَالِجُهَا لَكَ قَالَ لَا طَبِيبُهَا الَّذِي خَلَقَهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Rimthah narrated: I set out with my father toward the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When I saw him, my father said to me: "Do you know who this is?" I said: "No." My father said: "This is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." I shuddered when he said that, for I had imagined the Messenger of Allah to be something unlike ordinary people. But there he was - a human being with flowing hair. Affan said in his narration: with flowing hair tinted with henna, wearing two green garments. My father greeted him, then we sat and conversed for a while. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to my father: "Is this your son?" He said: "Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah." He said: "Truly?" He said: "I bear witness to it." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) smiled, laughing at the confirmation of my resemblance to my father and at my father's oath regarding me. Then he said: "Indeed, he shall not bear your burden, nor shall you bear his." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited: {No bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another} [Quran 35:18]. He said: Then he looked at something like a growth between his shoulders, and he (my father) said: "O Messenger of Allah, I am the most skilled of physicians. Shall I not treat it for you?" He said: "No, its physician is the One who created it."
