حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَبَهْزٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اسْتَسْقِ اللَّهَ لَنَا قَالَ فَاسْتَسْقَى وَمَا نَرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ قَزَعَةً قَالَ فَأُمْطِرْنَا فَمَا جَعَلَتْ تُقْلِعُ فَلَمَّا أَتَتْ الْجُمُعَةُ قَامَ إِلَيْهِ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ أَوْ غَيْرُهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا عَنَّا قَالَ فَدَعَا فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى السَّحَابِ يُسْفِرُ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا وَلَا يُمْطِرُ مِنْ جَوْفِهَا قَطْرَةً.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Affan and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik: that a man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was on the pulpit, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah for rain for us." He said: So he prayed for rain, though we saw no cloud-wisp in the sky. He said: Then it rained on us and did not let up. When Friday came, that man, or another, stood up to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to lift it from us." He said: So he prayed, and I began watching the clouds part to the right and left, not raining a single drop from within them.
