Abd al-Wahhab ibn Ata Abu Nasr al-Ijli al-Khaffaf told us, he said: Sa'id informed us, from Qatada, from Anas ibn Malik, that he informed them from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: 'While I was walking in Paradise, a river appeared before me, its banks made of hollow pearl domes.' He said: 'I said, "O Gabriel, what is this?" He said, "This is al-Kawthar which your Lord, Mighty and Majestic, has given you." He said: "Then I struck my hands into it, and its clay was fragrant musk, and its pebbles were pearls."' Abdullah, the narrator's son, said: and Abd al-Wahhab said, from his book, I read: he said: 'The angel who was with me said, "Do you know what this is? This is al-Kawthar which your Lord has given you." Then he struck his hands into its ground and brought out musk from its clay.'
