Abu al-Yaman told us, he said: Isma’il ibn ‘Ayyash told us, from ‘Umar ibn Muhammad, from Abu ‘Iqal, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Ascalon is one of the two brides; from it, on the Day of Resurrection, seventy thousand will be raised without any reckoning upon them, and fifty thousand martyrs will be raised from it as delegations to Allah, Mighty and Majestic. There are rows of martyrs there whose heads are severed and held in their hands, their jugular veins gushing blood, saying, ‘Our Lord, give us what You promised us through Your messengers, for You do not break the promise.’ He will say, ‘My servants have spoken the truth; wash them in the river of the White Egg.’ They will emerge from it pure and white, and roam freely in Paradise wherever they wish."
