Ibn Abi Adi told us, from Humayd, from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out one day with his head bandaged. The Ansar met him, with their women and their children, and when he saw the faces of the Ansar he said: By Him in whose hand is my soul, I truly love you. And he said: The Ansar have fulfilled what was due from them, and what remains is upon you — so treat their good-doers well and overlook their wrongdoers.
