Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah and Hajjaj told us — Hajjaj said: Shu'bah told me — I heard Qatadah narrating from Anas ibn Malik, who said: There was a night alarm in Medina, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, borrowed a horse of ours called Mandub. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "We found no cause for alarm, and indeed we found it (the horse) to be like a sea." Hajjaj said: meaning the horse.
