حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ رَوَاحَةَ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى الضُّحَى قَطُّ إِلَّا أَنْ يَخْرُجَ فِي سَفَرٍ أَوْ يَقْدَمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ.

Ibrahim told us, Ibn al-Mubarak told us, from Aban ibn Khalid, who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Rawahah say, Anas ibn Malik told me that he never saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, pray the mid-morning prayer at all, except when he set out on a journey or arrived from a journey.
