حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى { فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّى رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ } قَالَ قَالَ هَكَذَا يَعْنِي أَنَّهُ أَخْرَجَ طَرَفَ الْخِنْصَرِ قَالَ أَبِي أَبِي أَرَانَا مُعَاذٌ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ مَا تُرِيدُ إِلَى هَذَا يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ فَضَرَبَ صَدْرَهُ ضَرْبَةً شَدِيدَةً وَقَالَ مَنْ أَنْتَ يَا حُمَيْدُ وَمَا أَنْتَ يَا حُمَيْدُ يُحَدِّثُنِي بِهِ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَقُولُ أَنْتَ مَا تُرِيدُ إِلَيْهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Anas ibn Malik reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding Allah's saying: 'When his Lord appeared to the mountain,' he said: Like this - meaning he showed the tip of his little finger. Humayd al-Tawil said to Thabit: "What do you want with this, O Abu Muhammad?" Thabit struck him hard on the chest and said: "Who are you, O Humayd, and what are you? Anas ibn Malik narrates it to me from the Prophet (peace be upon him), and you say: 'What do you want with it?'"
