حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ كَانُوا يَفْتَتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ }.

Yahya narrated to us, from Hisham: Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and 'Uthman used to begin the recitation with "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds."
