حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ قَالَ فَأَمَرَ بِلَالًا حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ ثُمَّ أَسْفَرَ مِنْ الْغَدِ حَتَّى أَسْفَرَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ مَا بَيْنَ هَاتَيْنِ أَوْ قَالَ هَذَيْنِ وَقْتٌ.

Isma'il narrated to us: Humayd al-Tawil informed us, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the time of the dawn prayer. So he commanded Bilal, when the dawn broke, to establish the prayer early; then the next day he delayed until it grew bright, and then he said: "Where is the one who asked about the time of the dawn prayer? Between these two times is the [valid] time."
