Ibn Abi Adiyy narrated to us from Humayd, from Anas: that Abu Musa asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for a mount, and this happened to coincide with him being occupied, so he said, "By Allah, I will not give you a mount." Then, when he turned to leave, he called him back and gave him a mount. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, you swore that you would not give me a mount." He said, "Then I swear that I will indeed give you a mount."
