حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ كَانُوا يَفْتَتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ }.

Isma'il narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Abi Arubah narrated to us from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman used to begin the recitation with "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
