حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَمَانِ عَشَرَ مَضَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَصَامَ صَائِمُونَ وَأَفْطَرَ مُفْطِرُونَ فَلَمْ يَعِبْ هَؤُلَاءِ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ وَلَا هَؤُلَاءِ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَرْبَعَةٌ أَحَدُهُمْ قَتَادَةُ وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ قَتَادَةَ.

Hajjaj told us, Shu'ba told us, from Qatada, who said: I heard Abu Nadra, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: "We went out with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on the eighteenth night that had passed of Ramadan. So some fasted and some broke their fast, and these did not blame those, nor did those blame these." Shu'ba said: "Four people related this hadith to me, one of them Qatada, and this is the hadith of Qatada."
