"And mounts should not be saddled for a journey except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, the Mosque of Medina, and the Farthest Mosque." He said: And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, bade farewell to a man and said to him, "Where are you headed?" He said, "I intend to go to Jerusalem." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: "A prayer in this mosque of mine is better" — meaning better than a thousand prayers elsewhere, except the Sacred Mosque.
