وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ تَوَاضَعَ لِلَّهِ دَرَجَةً رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ دَرَجَةً حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُ فِي عِلِّيِّينَ وَمَنْ تَكَبَّرَ عَلَى اللَّهِ دَرَجَةً وَضَعَهُ اللَّهُ دَرَجَةً حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُ فِي أَسْفَلِ السَّافِلِينَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
And with this same chain, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever humbles himself for Allah's sake by one degree, Allah raises him by a degree, until He places him among the highest; and whoever is arrogant toward Allah by one degree, Allah lowers him by a degree, until He places him among the lowest of the low."
