حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ غُلَامًا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَاهُ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ بِتَمْرٍ رَيَّانَ وَكَانَ تَمْرُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْلًا فِيهِ يُبْسٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّى لَكَ هَذَا التَّمْرُ فَقَالَ هَذَا صَاعٌ اشْتَرَيْنَاهُ بِصَاعَيْنِ مِنْ تَمْرِنَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَفْعَلْ فَإِنَّ هَذَا لَا يَصْلُحُ وَلَكِنْ بِعْ تَمْرَكَ وَاشْتَرِ مِنْ أَيِّ تَمْرٍ شِئْتَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yazid narrated to us, Sa'id informed us, from Qatadah, from Sa'id b. al-Musayyab: that Abu Sa'id al-Khudri narrated to them that a servant boy of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, brought him one day fresh, juicy dates, while the Prophet's own dates were of the rain-fed variety, somewhat dry. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Where did you get these dates?" He said, "This is one sa' that we bought for two sa's of our dates." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Do not do that, for this is not proper. Rather, sell your dates, then buy whatever dates you wish."
