قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَخْرُجُ فِيكُمْ قَوْمٌ تَحْقِرُونَ صَلَاتَكُمْ مَعَ صَلَاتِهِمْ وَصِيَامَكُمْ مَعَ صِيَامِهِمْ وَأَعْمَالَكُمْ مَعَ أَعْمَالِهِمْ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنْ الدِّينِ مُرُوقَ السَّهْمِ مِنْ الرَّمِيَّةِ يَنْظُرُ فِي النَّصْلِ فَلَا يَرَى شَيْئًا ثُمَّ يَنْظُرُ فِي الْقِدْحِ فَلَا يَرَى شَيْئًا وَيَنْظُرُ فِي الرِّيشِ فَلَا يَرَى شَيْئًا وَيَتَمَارَى فِي الْفُوقِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
He said: I read to Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from Yahya b. Sa'id, from Muhammad b. Ibrahim b. al-Harith al-Taymi, from Abu Salamah b. Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "There will emerge among you a people whose prayer you will regard as insignificant compared to their prayer, and your fasting compared to their fasting, and your deeds compared to their deeds. They will recite the Qur'an, but it will not pass beyond their throats. They will pass through religion just as an arrow passes through its target - one looks at the arrowhead and sees nothing, then looks at the shaft and sees nothing, and looks at the feathers and sees nothing, and is in doubt about the nock." Abd al-Rahman said: Malik narrated this hadith to us - meaning this particular hadith.
