حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَرَوْحٌ قَالَا ثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو قَزَعَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ وَحَسَنًا أَخْبَرَهُمَا أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ لَمَّا أَتَوْا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ جَعَلَنَا اللَّهُ فِدَاءَكَ مَاذَا يَصْلُحُ لَنَا فِي الْأَشْرِبَةِ فَقَالَ لَا تَشْرَبُوا فِي النَّقِيرِ فَقَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ جَعَلنَا اللَّهُ فِدَاءَكَ أَوَتَدْرِ مَا النَّقِيرُ قَالَ نَعَمْ الْجِذْعُ يُنْقَرُ وَسَطُهُ وَلَا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَلَا فِي الْحَنْتَمَةِ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالْمُوكَإِ قَالَ رَوْحٌ بِالْمُوكَإِ مَرَّتَيْنِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdur-Razzaq and Rawh told us, both saying: Ibn Jurayj told us: Abu Qaza'ah informed me that Abu Nadrah informed him, and al-Hasan informed both of them, that Abu Sa'id al-Khudri informed him that when the delegation of Abd al-Qays came to the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, they said, "O Prophet of Allah, may Allah make us a ransom for you, what is fitting for us regarding drinks?" He said, "Do not drink from the naqir (hollowed-out trunk vessel)." They said, "O Prophet of Allah, may Allah make us a ransom for you, do you know what the naqir is?" He said, "Yes, the palm trunk hollowed out in its middle." "And not from the gourd vessel, nor from the green jar, and hold fast to the tied waterskin." Rawh said "the tied waterskin" twice [i.e. repeated it].
