Yahya told us, from Dawud ibn Qays, who said: Iyad told me: Abu Sa'id told me, saying: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to go out on the day of the festival - Yahya said, "I only know him to have said Fitr and Adha" - and he would lead the people in two rak'ahs, then stand facing the people and say, "Give charity." Most of those who gave charity were women. Abdur-Razzaq said: "with rings, earrings, and [other] things," and he mentioned its like. Then, if he had some need, or wished to send out an expedition, he would speak; otherwise he would leave.
